Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles Review

Living in Southern California, I pretty much live in sandals year round. However, I do have a few pairs of heels, for when I need to dress up for a special event.

Since, I do not wear heels on a regular basis, my feet suffer the wrath of heels all the more, because they're are not used to them.

Dr. Scholl's has a product on the market, that is specifically designed to be worn in high heels, so when I was asked by Bzz Agent, if I would like a pair for free to review, I was excited to give them a try.

I'm familiar with Dr. Scholl's, because the pair of tennis shoes I wear when my family and I visit Disneyland, has a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles inside.

The Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles, fit comfortably in heels 2 inches or larger. The unique design has been clinically proven to provide all day comfort by relieving foot aches and pains, associated with wearing high heels.

Dr. Scholl's offers a money back guarantee, if you don't agree that the insoles provide an immediate and long lasting comfort.

 Other features include:
  • Ultra-soft gel arch shifts pressure off ball of foot
  • FabuSTEP gel provides added cushioning
  • Practically invisible, even in strappy heels
  • Slim design won’t make shoes feel tight
  • Insoles stay firmly in place, and are easily removable without damaging shoes
  • Made to fit women’s sizes 6–10, including all open-style shoes

The best qualities of the Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles, are that they are invisible, as you can see from the pictures above. The gel underneath your entire foot feels cushioning, especially in the ball of your foot where the FabuSTEP Gel is located.

The problem I have with this product is the gel arch. I placed the arch as close as possible to the edge of my shoe, where my natural arch is, and it still feels like I have a big bump in the center of my foot.  I have to admit, that I don't have much of a natural arch. I have rather flat feet, so I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. These insoles were just not that comfortable to me, because of my issue with the gel arch.

I'm not sure why these didn't work for me because, Dr. Scholl’s products are extensively researched, developed & tested by scientists, as well as tested on "real life" people, such as managers, students, office workers & busy moms like me!

Even though I did not care for Dr. Scholl's insoles for high heels, I still love this brand, and will continue to wear them in my flat, closed toed shoes.

Dr. Scholl's encourages you to take their Extra Step Challenge. For details, please click here.

I was asked by Bzz Agent & Dr. Scholl's to review Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel Insoles. I received a pair of insoles for free, but was not compensated for this post. All opinions expressed herein are my own. Print Friendly and PDF

The Goodies Co. ~ June 2013

If you are new to The Goodies Co., please see my post here, explaining how The Goodies Co.  food subscription service works!

My Goodies Co. box was the last of my food subscription boxes to come this month. Overall, I wasn't too impressed. My favorite item in the box was the Duchy Originals Highland All Butter Shortbread.

All of the other items, were just "okay" with the exception of the seaweed, which I tasted while in my son's occupational therapy session, and then passed off to my hubby who enjoys "fishy" foods.

I was pretty disappointed to see the Pringles Stix & Lays Stax in there. The main reason I sign up for food subscription services, is to discover new brands I've never heard of. I don't think Pringles or Lays need any more publicity to garner new salty snack lovers. If you haven't heard of Pringles or Lays, you must have been living under a rock or something! I need to keep in mind the Goodies boxes are curated by Walmart, so I guess I can expect a fair amount of "mainstream" snacks. My kids did enjoy these though.

gimMe All Natural Crumbles Roasted Seaweed Snacks in Cheddar Cheese.

Yuck! Passed these on to my hubby.

Full Size, Retail Value $1.44

 Pringles Cheese Stix

These tasted like Goldfish Crackers, with a light dusting of cheese powder.

Pringles Stix also come in Pizza & Honey Mustard.

These are a "Taster's Box Exclusive," which means subscribers get this item in their box, but they are unavailable to purchase in the Goodies online marketplace. If you want to purchase one of these items, you need to find another retailer( like Walmart) to purchase it.

Full Size, Retail Value $1.99

Lays Stax Adobadas

These are basically tomato flavored chips. These are okay, but I much prefer BBQ or Sour Cream & Onion!

These were also a "Taster's Box Exclusive."

Full Size, Retail Value $1.18

Dream Water Sleep & Relaxation Shot in nighTEA night

While I didn't feel sleepy after drinking it, I did sleep through the night, whereas, I had been walking in the middle of the night, the previous two nights.

It tasted pretty gross, too!

Full Size, Retail Value $2.49

Smooch Lip Smackingly Good Apple, Raspberry & Peach Fruit Snack

This is the pretty standard pureed fruit pouch, with the addition of chia seeds. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed this!

Full Size, Retail Value $1.99

Duchy Originals from Waitrose Highland All Butter Shortbread

The best item in the box! Crispy & buttery. I wish I had saved these to eat, while drinking a cup of tea.

2 Cookies, Retail Value $ ? These are normally sold in a larger box for $5.99.

The retail value without the cookies is $9.09. So I definitely got my money's worth, and remember the shipping is free!

Please come back and see what I get in my Goodies Co. box next month!

What's Good at the 99 Cent Only Store this Week? 6-26-13

I periodically check out the spice section at the 99 Cent Only Store because I hate paying high prices, for little bottles of spices at the grocery store. As I walked by this section, it seemed like they "beefed it up," so I figured I would stock up on a couple of items.

My children love cinnamon toast, so I can always use extra cinnamon, and I knew I was out of Oregano, so I thought why not?

I was also excited to see the Campbell's Skillet Sauces! I've seen those several times, on end caps at Target, and have been wanting to try them. Hopefully, these are good, and the 99 Cent Only Store gets some other varieties in, in the future.

Here's what I picked up this week.....

59 fl. oz. Minute Maid Berry Punch Exp.6-28-13
59 fl. oz. Minute Maid Just 15 Calories in Peach Exp. 7-6-13

What's Your Epic Summer Playdate? #EpicPlaydate

This post is brought to you by The New Santa Fe from Hyundai.

What's your idea of an epic summer playdate with your family?

Are you the type of family that would start their day at the local skate park, followed by a BBQ and overnight camping adventure in the backyard?

How about a hike, or bike ride up in the mountains, or day of boogie boarding at the beach?

Or maybe a day of discovering dinosaurs at the natural history museum is more your family's idea of fun?

I have to admit that I'm more of an indoor fun type of mom, and I recently found an amazing activity that is fun for the whole family, and did I mention free?!?

My idea of an epic playdate with my children, would start off with a trip to Lowe's hardware store, for a session of Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic. Every other weekend, Lowe's provides the space, tools & materials for your kids to build an awesome wooden project.

You get to make projects like this!!! How cute is that?!?

You are given an instruction booklet, hammer, bag of nails, bag of wooden pieces, and any embellishments needed for finishing touches, such as stickers. If it is your first time attending, you are also given safety goggles and an apron. I'll show you down below why the aprons are so awesome!

The reason why I love the aprons, are because of these!

For every Lowe's Build and Grow Clinic you attend, you are given an iron-on patch to apply to your apron! We saw children at the clinic with tons of patches. What a great memento to save, and later reflect on, when your children get older. My children now have two patches(we also attended the Scarers clinic) and I'll definitely be saving their aprons, as part of their childhood memories!

Upcoming clinics include the following:

Saturday, July 13th at 10am and Sunday, July 14th at 2pm
Disney * Pixar Toy Story Pizza Planet Truck

Saturday July 27th at 10am and Sunday, July 28th at 2pm
Disney * Pixar Toy Story RC

Space is limited, so I highly recommend registering online in advance here.

After our exciting morning of good ole' fashion family fun, we would come back home and watch.....

Does this sound like an epic summer playdate to you?

If so, I suggest hopping into a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, and head to Lowe's!
